Ray moore

Lead Pastor

Ray grew up in a small town and went to church through his elementary years but in middle school and high school his priorities changed and he rarely went to church. His senior year of high school he accepted an invitation to go to a youth group meeting, because he was excited about free pizza and meeting new girls.

However, it was during his senior year that God became real to him. After high school he went to Bible College where he received a double major in Bible and Pastoral Theology. His first full time ministry experience was as a youth minister and after 7 years, he left the comfort of a full time position in his hometown and moved to Greenville, NC to work with the youth at a church plant.

Ray says, "After two years of ministry at the church plant, I and my family took a huge step of faith, and with a few others, CrossPointe Church was born. I love CrossPointe as does my wife Mindy and my daughters Kaylee and Chloe. I’m not the typical pastor as I’m not very good at golf. I would much rather be at the gym, riding my motorcycle, or eating."

quentin asby

Worship & Arts Pastor

Quentin grew up in Washington, North Carolina and still enjoys going back there to stroll the waterfront and eat Bill’s hot dogs. Around the age of twelve his desire to play music began. This early desire to play music led to a full-time job at the local piano and organ dealership. After working his way up the ranks, he managed this store for 10 years.

In 2009 he resigned to take a part-time position to prepare for the launching of CrossPointe Church.

Quentin has been married to his high school sweetheart, Lori, since 1996. He has been blessed with two sons, Alan and Bryce. Quentin loves the outdoors whether it be fishing, yard work, or working on one of the many home projects he has neglected to finish.

chase bright

Next Gen Pastor

Chase was born and raised in northwest Missouri. The two best things about moving to North Carolina for Bible college was learning about real sweet tea and meeting the love of his life, Rachel.

However, he did manage to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Theology. Chase has been in full time ministry for almost 8 years and has served in a wide range of positions from youth pastor to lead pastor.

He loves working with students where he can be as crazy as he wants. In his spare time he enjoys powerlifting competitions, working on cars, long walks with Rachel, and hunting.

scott stubbings

Director of Finance

Scott was born on Long Island, New York, but was raised in New Bern, North Carolina after moving there at the age of two. He met his wife Chasity while attending East Carolina University in the late nineties, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting. They currently live in Winterville and have two wonderful boys, Will and Sean.

Their family has been attending CrossPointe since the very first service. Scott is currently the Treasurer for CrossPointe Church and has served on many volunteer teams including Sunday Morning Setup and the Worship Experience Production Team. This family is excited to see how CrossPointe Church can make a positive impact on Winterville and Eastern North Carolina through the mission of pointing people to the life changing love of Jesus.
